FAQ

Why should there be a site just for Gimkit fan art? Why can’t we just upload it in the community?

To clarify, you can upload your Gimkit art to communities like the Gimkit Discord, Wix, etc., that you’re part of. What this site does is collect your Gimkit art pieces, give you proper credit, and store them here. We create portfolios for each Gimkit artist, yearly Gimkit art galleries, and more! All we want is for your art to be viewed by a large number of people who truly love it, and for new Gimkitters to easily discover it even years later.

How are artists credited if their art is used on this site?

When we collect Gimkit art from the community, we record the artist’s username and the date it was posted. Most sections on Gimstudio show this clearly. For featured artists, we also create a separate page for their art portfolio.

What if we find outdated or incorrect info?

You’re free to contact us through the form on the contact page or DM any staff member via chat. Your request can vary, for example, if you change your username and want us to update it on the site, we’ll take care of it!

How can we get our Gimkit art shown on the site if it isn’t already?

Contact us either through the form on the contact page or by DMing us via chat. Please note that we don’t update Gimkit art on our site daily, we usually do it monthly. So please be patient with us.

Are there site rules for chat, blog posting, etc.?

There are site rules for blog posting, chat, and more. You can find them here. Please read them carefully, you are still responsible if you violate them even if you say you don’t know the rules.

What are the requirements to have an artist portfolio?

Not all Gimkit artists can have an artist portfolio. Your art must be related to Gimkit, and you must have a minimum of 25 pieces in total to request an artist profile card and portfolio.

What happens if someone makes me uncomfortable via chat?

You can report those messages and DM us if you want to explain more. We have specific staff responsible for chat moderation. After verifying the situation, the person may be required to apologize, and their account might be restricted or banned depending on the severity.

How can we become a staff member? Are there any requirements?

Gimstudio is a small site dedicated to Gimkit art. The main tasks for staff are collecting Gimkit art from the community and editing the site. The level of moderation needed for comments or chat is minimal, so the chance of getting a position is very low.

There are several requirements to become staff. Besides skills and understanding of how to edit a WordPress site and access to collect Gimkit art from the community, we also need someone accountable and trustworthy. No matter the position, you will have the same permissions as the site founder.
